This is an excerpt from the Review of the Sony PS3 game Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 5 has a lot to live up to. Its predecessor was ground breaking, series defining and raised the bar for other games in the genre. Games that have this kind of impact come along only once or twice per console life cycle and Resident Evil 4 was fortunate to be one of them. The timing for the changes in series couldn’t have been better as it had gotten a little stagnant in recent times. Capcom devoted much time and effort to changing the gameplay package, with great success. The new adventure in Resident Evil 5 continues improving the formula and it really is a shame that such a well made game may never escape from behind its brother’s accomplishments.

… Uncharted is more Sahara than Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Nathan Drake is a much better murderer than a fortune hunter. The guy rarely discovers anything. Every new ruin or vault he stumbles upon is already crawling with thugs who beat him to the punch, so he simply shoots them all, snatches whatever trinkets they left behind, and follows the breadcrumbs to the scene of his next mass murder. The guy is saddled with a pair of worthless sidekicks whose sole purpose is to drive the action: Elena Fischer is a reporter with no crew and a camera that wouldn’t pass muster on Current TV. In spite of a cursory attempt to paint her as a dame with chutzpah, she rarely serves as more than a damsel in distress. Nate’s dirty buddy Victor Sullivan fares a little better. The gruff, stogie-puffing mensch provides a satisfying mid-plot twist—the only moment that the game manages to pull its chin above straight-to-cable narrative. …

This is an excerpt from the Review of the PS3 game NCAA College Hoops 2K8 by PSU
Overall, NCAA College Hoops 2K8 is a solid game that will definitely satisfy that special college basketball nut. 2K Sports didn’t just put all of the features of their NBA basketball game and just apply it to college basketball, but they really went out of their way to make it a college atmosphere and attitude.

This is an excerpt from the Review of the Playstation 3 game Conan byI
Gamers Info
Conan for the PlayStation 3 is one of those games I found myself enjoying and looking forward to playing again even though at first blush I wasn’t overly impressed. The game opens with you choosing your difficulty level, then starts moving with a brief cutscene of an old woman telling the tale of Conan; and before you know it, you’re back in time demonstrating what she’s going on about. This basically amounts to slicing, dicing and bludgeoning just about anything in your path that looks at you crosswise. This does not include unarmed peasants and fair maidens.

This is an excerpt from the Review of the PS3 Game Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom by Gaming Age
The game does little to break the hack-and-slash mold, starting players off with a choice of three character classes; warrior, scout, and mage. Even with these different classes however, most players will find few differences between them during play. Melee attacks are upgradeable as the game progresses, but most players will find themselves relying almost exclusively on the original combos. Magic attacks can be assigned to the four face buttons and activated in conjunction with the L1 button. While magic comes in both offensive and defensive forms, it rarely proves useful except for during a difficult boss battle.
