If you have no idea what Heavenly Sword is by now and you’re even remotely interested in a Playstation 3 then I highly recommend you start paying attention as it is currently without a shadow of a doubt the most impressive looking PS3 exclusive title that has ever been seen. At E3 ‘06 it was easily the one saving grace for the PS3’s potential that was immediately playable to convince disbelievers.

When the first HS trailer was shown at E3 2005 everyone with some common sense looked on in amazement, but with a bit of skepticism that no way the game would actually play as amazingly as what was seen in that trailer. Heavenly Sword managed to prove the exact opposite and it’s obvious the developers set out to silence doubters. They made sure to not only have the E3 and TGS demo take place in the same exact location as the E3 2005 trailer, but they also made sure that all the incredible combat animations the female heroine was performing in the 2005 trailer was also possible during gameplay.

It received many accolades for its technical brilliance and rightfully so it looks stunning from a graphical and gameplay standpoint and it’s the best indication thus far of what the PS3 will be capable of in the future.
